Read for RNIB Day is Going on a Bear Hunt!
Calling all schools, nurseries, mums and dads!
Children’s publisher Walker Books and Read for RNIB Day are celebrating 25 years of “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” with the world’s largest reading lesson Guinness World Records™ attempt.
World’s Biggest Ever Bear Hunt
Join us at 10am on Tuesday 15th July 2014 when we will be hosting The Biggest Ever Bear Hunt reading lesson with Michael Rosen, the author of the beloved picture book.
This ‘real life’ bear hunt will take the form of a curriculum approved reading lesson suitable for ages three to five years olds and created by education specialists Yellow Door. It will be fully accessible to children who are blind and partially sighted, so that they can go on the adventure with their friends and classmates too.
Over a thousand school children will come together at Charter Hall, Colchester, to take part in this unique fun-packed Bear Hunt reading lesson created especially for the occasion!
How you can get involved
Everyone can join in the fun via a web stream of the event which will be broadcast live at www.jointhebearhunt.com/rnib on 15th July and be available on demand afterwards.
Children, and their teddy bears, are asked to donate £1 each to take part, and all the money raised will go to Read for RNIB Day to support RNIB’s vital reading services.
